Yes, you are kind and respectful to others. Yes, you care about their feeling. Yes, you try to make them happy with your efforts. There is nothing bad in it. . But what if your this habit becomes obsession. And that destroys your own self-esteem and mental health. Starting from frustration, to feeling helpless in expressing on thoughts and opinion. It all happens when you ignore your own happiness for people. Be kind always to people but not at cost of your own self-esteem. Set boundaries and stick to them, that's a fair deal. Moreover, you don't need to prove your worthiness to every person. We can't satisfy all of them. So it's good to set the boundaries and never drop the head.

Past Life

 


Do you have a past life? Certainly! Our life story has been progressing from the day we are born. Always, our story is partitioned into three phases; past, present and future. Past was once future and once present. Present was once future. Future will become present and then past. The chain proceeds. But when your past continues to be your present, your will lose both your present and future.


We all have endured so many past life trails. Some might be good, some might be bad; some might be successful, some might be failures; after all these trails, we are still standing in the present moment with all those we have.

Let me ask you a question. Are you happy about your past? Are you satisfied with your past? Do you have any regrets? Are you a prisoner of your past?

To be honest, I was once a prisoner of my past life. Just because I kept on clinging to my past, I lost my “present happiness”. Even though I tried hard to resolve the past, I couldn’t make it. Past is what written with a pen, not with a pencil so that we can’t erase what happened and then to re-write. Once it is happened, it is happened; nobody can change it but remember past will always have something for our own betterment.


Let’s consider the food we eat, which are on the plate in front us, as our past.  We have to eat it, right? We can be reluctant to the food but ultimately we will end up swallowing it. At first it was so yummy but then you realized that there was an ingredient which you dislike. By this time, the food is on its way to your tiny tummy (stomach). What to do? That bitter taste is still there in your mouth. You started to feel hostile. But let me ask you; how long this bitterness would stay in your mouth? For few minutes or hours, right? The bitterness of our past is just like that. It may last only for a particular duration of time. By this time, something sweet might have been happened to us. Also, the food we ate (past) will definitely get digested. It is a mandatory process. We can’t stop it. But in the end this process, all the nutrient components present in the food will get absorbed for the future betterment of our own body. Past will always give you lessons and morals for upgrading your life. If we stress too much, we may fall sick. 

Never let past ruin the happiness of your present. Yesterday is a history, tomorrow is a mystery but today is a gift, that’s why it is called “present”. Just, live in the present. It is ok to make mistakes but remember not to be defined by your past mistakes again and again. Also, never take the courage to judge someone by their past, accept them for who they are today.
