Yes, you are kind and respectful to others. Yes, you care about their feeling. Yes, you try to make them happy with your efforts. There is nothing bad in it. . But what if your this habit becomes obsession. And that destroys your own self-esteem and mental health. Starting from frustration, to feeling helpless in expressing on thoughts and opinion. It all happens when you ignore your own happiness for people. Be kind always to people but not at cost of your own self-esteem. Set boundaries and stick to them, that's a fair deal. Moreover, you don't need to prove your worthiness to every person. We can't satisfy all of them. So it's good to set the boundaries and never drop the head.

Little Things

Is it necessary to celebrate only for materialistic things?

Yes it's not bad to feel happy about your achievements. But the question is how you define an achievement?

Things like promotion, getting a valuable gift, winning a lottery, getting a pay raise do feel like achievement. You do feel happy about them and you should be. But your happiness shouldn't be define with only materialistic things. In fact, why not to add some simple, and non-materialistic things in the list that are worth celebrating. The value they add into your life and peace would be equal to value provided by other materialistic things.

1. Saying "YES" to yourself by saying "NO" to other things.

2. Speaking your own truth.

3. Feeling that tiny rays of sun on your skin.

4. Changing your mind to "follow your own heart"

5. Valuing the present moment as it is a gift

6. Forgiving yourself.

7. Turning back to the path you have covered with a smile of gratitude

8. Stepping away from anything that no longer serves you

Aren't they soothing....yes they're. Stop neglecting these small but much valued events.

Remember ignorance is enemy of happiness. So stop ignoring positive moments of your life.
