Yes, you are kind and respectful to others. Yes, you care about their feeling. Yes, you try to make them happy with your efforts. There is nothing bad in it. . But what if your this habit becomes obsession. And that destroys your own self-esteem and mental health. Starting from frustration, to feeling helpless in expressing on thoughts and opinion. It all happens when you ignore your own happiness for people. Be kind always to people but not at cost of your own self-esteem. Set boundaries and stick to them, that's a fair deal. Moreover, you don't need to prove your worthiness to every person. We can't satisfy all of them. So it's good to set the boundaries and never drop the head.

MIS-interpretation


Sometimes the words we say and the meaning other person interpret differs. But the small mis-interpretation leads to big havoc. Obviously we don't mean to but we never tried to clarify as well.



In an effective communication we notice several things, including reactions of the listener. And in most cases, we guess easily where the reactions were different. But the problem starts when we ignore the fact.


Clarification won't make you sound wrong. Yes, you didn't mean it but the listener isn't in sync to your exact words and their meanings. An effective communicator would rather act and ask if there's something wrong. Your this simple concern can evolve you as a communicator.

Communication is all about words and interpretations, and both the parties are responsible to validate them if required. Acting before damage is done is real smart thing.
